Microsoft removed Homegroup from Windows 1803 (build 17134) and that caused problems for networking.

To get you PC's to visible under File Explorer network section then most important part is to start some required services.

Push Win Key and type "Services", locate those services, start them and set Start type to Automatic. Services are:

  • Function Discovery Provider Host
  • Function Discovery Resource Publication
  • SSDP Discovery
  • UPnP Device Host
  1. Try enabling Net Bios as you are trying to connect drives on cross platform.
  2. Press Windows Logo key + R, to open the Run dialog box.
  3. Type ncpa.cpl and click on OK.
  4. Right click on the network connection that you are using and select Properties.
  5. Double click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
  6. Under General tab, click on Advanced.
  7. Click on WINS tab.
  8. Select Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP.
  9. Click on OK on all the windows.
