September 20, 2016
The third Tuesday in September is designated National IT Professionals Day.  Its purpose is to praise the unsung heroes of the business community. IT professionals keep businesses moving.

Thank your IT Professional

IT professionals are often misunderstood because of the complexity of computers, operating systems, networks, hardware, software, compatibility, cyber security, backups and offsite backups.  In addition, they can guide the client in the purchase of hardware that is compatible with existing systems and easy to maintain which ultimately keeps the cost of ownership down. They can also aid in spotting invalid monthly bills that may be fraud or oversight.

Backups are Critical

  • 31% of PC users have lost all of their files due to events beyond their control.
  • 34% of companies fail to test their tape backups, and of those that do, 77% have found tape back-up failures.
  • 60% of companies that lose their data will shut down within 6 months of the disaster.
  • Thanks to Boston Computing Network
